What Happens at Your Appointment
A topical numbing cream is applied first to keep you comfortable. From there, the treatment itself usually takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on how large an area we're working on. You'll notice a visible tightening in the treated area right away. That's the immediate effect of the heat, separate from the longer collagen-building process that continues underneath afterward.
Healing Afterward
Small carbon dots form on the treated skin where the plasma makes contact. These typically flake off on their own within 5 to 10 days, and it's important to let that happen naturally rather than picking at them. Some swelling and redness in the first few days is normal and expected, and keeping the area protected from direct sun helps it heal cleanly.
How Long Results Take, and How Long They Last
The visible tightening happens right away, but the deeper results build gradually over several weeks as new collagen forms. How long the results last varies from person to person, but many clients see their results hold for several years.
