Fine-Line and Minimalist Work
Fine-Line and Minimalist WorkTattoos are done by Evelyn, who specializes in fine-line, minimalist work and black work. If you're drawn to delicate, detailed line art or a clean, understated black piece rather than bold color or heavy shading, this is exactly the kind of work she focuses on.
Before Your Appointment
-
Eat a solid meal and stay hydrated, sitting for a tattoo on an empty stomach makes for a rougher session
-
Skip the alcohol beforehand, it thins your blood and can affect how your skin takes the ink
-
Come with a general idea of size and placement in mind, we'll refine the design together from there
What to Expect During Your Session
Every tattoo starts with a conversation about your idea, placement, and size, followed by a stencil you'll approve before any ink touches your skin. All equipment is single-use and sterile, in line with Massachusetts Body Art Regulations. Session length depends entirely on the size and detail of the piece. A small fine-line design is a very different appointment than a larger black work piece.
Caring for Your New Tattoo
A fresh tattoo is an open wound, so aftercare really does matter for how it heals and how it looks years from now. In general, that means keeping it clean, avoiding direct sun, pools, and soaking baths while it heals, and resisting the urge to pick or scratch as it scabs and peels. You'll get specific aftercare instructions tailored to your piece and its placement after your session.
